The Terracotta Biennial is a cultural and artistic event that aims to enhance the visibility and appreciation of ceramics within society, to bring it increasingly closer to other economic sectors, and to ensure that ceramics retains a dignified status with a promising future for future generations by sharing knowledge, while also promoting La Bisbal d’Empordà as a ceramics city.
CREATIVE CERAMICS SPACE, admire and buy unique pieces
This creative ceramics space represents the spirit of each participant, from the more artisanal to the more conceptual. The space is intended to showcase and sell creative and artisanal ceramics. The ceramic pieces and compositions are unique and original, featuring a contemporary discourse, blazing today’s most creative paths in ceramics and new aesthetic concepts that create unique and exclusive environments.
CERAMICS AND ARCHITECTURE, the theme for 2024
Every new edition of the Biennial will have a central topic that will connect ceramics with a professional sector through technical conferences featuring masterclasses, sector-wide forums, and roundtable discussions. This year the theme will focus on the connection with architecture. The goal of these conferences is to become a space for reflection to share information and inform ceramic artists and enthusiasts alike about the most important novelties in the field straight from the leading professionals.
